Elena Mendoza Altamirano
Elena Mendoza Altamirano is the director, curator and principal artist displaying works in the gallery. She paints, tending toward the abstract or surrealist, in acrylic, oil and water color. A distinctive aspect of her art is the fabrication, preparation, sewing, stressing of her canvas using thread or wire from purchased or found materials before applying paints to canvas. For something a little different, she paints torritos de Tinta (ceramic bulls from Tinta) in themes of the Andes. You can see all of her works in the virtual gallery. Also, you can visit Altamirano's personal website.
